The Best Places To Eat Drink In Sydney | Nick Tsagaris Mcdonalds

Sydney was once a city whose best restaurants all came with high price tags and glistening water views. And while those places are still worth seeking out, a visit here wouldn’t be complete without trying some of the smaller, hidden away spots bringing food from countries like Sri Lanka and Japan, or those setting up shop in places like a converted garage in Darlinghurst and an old furniture showroom in Surry Hills. All are examples of how Sydney’s food and drink culture has shifted towards a much more relaxed vibe. Nick Tsagaris Mcdonalds

KitKat, Milo Maker Nestle Australia’s Big Change That Consumers Won’t Have Noticed

Usually when big companies make changes to much-loved products they hunker down hoping that fickle customers won’t turn their noses up at the alteration. But not Nestle which has made a major change to its Australian-made brands – from KitKat bars to Nescafe and Milo – yet it’s likely no one gorging themselves on chocolate or draining a coffee mug will be any the wiser. From this week, 100 percent of the electricity Nestle purchases to power its Australian factories, offices, and distribution centers will come from renewable sources. Two New South Wales winds farms – Crudine Ridge south of Mudgee and Sapphire west of Glen Innes – will generate the equivalent amount of electricity Nestle uses each year and pump it into the grid. Nestle wouldn’t reveal how much the  climate change mitigation  move was costing or if the 10-year contract with generator CWP Renewables will mean it has to shell out more than its current electricity agreement. But the Switzerland-based multinational has insis

Best Diets for Weight Loss 2021 | Nick Tsagaris

Turning the calendar page to a new year is often a signal that it’s time for a fresh start—and that has never felt more weicome than in 2021. After nearly a year spent staying home, stressing out, and comfort-bingeing baked goods and Netflix, many of us are looking forward to getting active, getting healthy, and taking off all those quarantine pounds in the next 12 months. “Eating a nutrient-rich diet can make us feel better and more energized, and it lets us know we are taking steps towards a healthier life,” says dietitian Amanda Beaver, RDN, of Houston Methodist Wellness Services. “It is something we can actually take action on after a year that has been totally out of our control,” she adds. Does Exercising In The Cold Burn More Calories? | Nick Tsagaris

Every winter you can guarantee you'll see a headline – or 20 – suggesting you pull on your sneakers on the coldest morning and get exercising because you'll burn more calories if it's nippy outside. The idea comes from the fact that when we are cold – particularly when we are shivering – our body uses more energy to keep us warm, namely through muscle clenching. So the theory goes that if you added the calorie-burning of exercise to the calorie-burning of being cold, you'd get a double-whammy calorie burner. (Getty) Unfortunately, experts tell 9Honey Coach that's probably taking the science a tad too far. "When we get cold, one of the ways we defend our body temperature is to shiver, which uses oxygen and therefore uses energy to generate those contractions," explains Dr Ollie Jay, a thermoregulatory physiologist from the University of Sydney. And exercising does the same thing. "You can do that either through physical activity and contracting your mu

Facts You Probably Didn't Know About Victoria Falls | Nick Tsagaris

Victoria Falls is neither the widest nor highest waterfall in the world, but it's the world's largest sheet of falling water, which solidifies this classification. It is twice the height of North America's Niagara Falls, and is only rivalled by Iguazu Falls in South America. It is 108m tall and 1708m wide. Nick Tsagaris

Zega Digital Pot review: Cook dinner for eight people in 30 minutes | Nick Tsagaris

REVIEW As I write this, I’m gnawing on tender chunks of chuck steak from the beef goulash I casually whipped up last night in my new hi-tech Zega Digital Pot. This meal was a three-hour cooking event of which I only spent 30 minutes taking part in. Have I just discovered the latest cookware revolution? Well, you may think I’m just describing good ol’ slow cooking, and if so, you’re kind of right. However, Zega has set out to revolutionise slow cooking and one pot meals. The Zega Digital Pot isn’t just any old slow cooker. Zega’s Intelligent cookware caught my eye when I found out it was designed by the team who created Magic Bullet, which still holds a place in my heart and cupboard. Their special Zega pot heats up in minutes and can cook on its own for hours even when you take it off the stove, requiring no gas or electricity to finish cooking safely. The kicker – (the digital version) also notifies you through the Zega app when your meal is ready to eat and it can keep your food wa
