What would happen if an asteroid hit Earth today? - Nick Tsagaris

An asteroid isn’t expected to crash into Earth anytime soon but space agencies keep an eye out for them just in case. Depending on the size of the space rock, an asteroid impact could be an extinction level event and researchers have created simulations to see how bad it could be. What would happen if an asteroid hit Earth? If you’ve seen the Netflix film  Don’t Look Up , you may be concerned about potential asteroid impacts. However, not all asteroids would mean the end of humanity. The space rock would have to be pretty large to kill us all. Scientists think the asteroid that wiped out the dinosaurs was about 12km wide. If an asteroid that size hit Earth today, things would instantly change due to the force of the impact and its knock on effect on the environment. Experts think we’d experience fires, shockwaves, heat radiation, a large crater, acid rain and giant tsunamis if the asteroid hits water. A large asteroid impact could be an extinction level event. Elly Awesome reviews LG Tone Free FP9 earbuds | Nick Tsagaris

REVIEW The LG Tone Free FP9 earbuds might be some of the most innovative earbuds, coming soon to the Australian market. Though they’re equipped with many features that we’ve seen before and the name is a bit of a mouthful, one seriously game-changing function sets them apart from the crowd. Insane features When it comes to the look of this product it seems like your average pair of  bluetooth earbuds , with handy touch controls. They’re highly pocketable with a lightweight, smooth pebble-esque charging case that the earphones magnetically click into and they’re charged via a USB to USB-C cable. Once paired with any device  the buds offer up some deep yet balanced bass tones  and noticeable spatial audio playback that reproduces plenty of musical nuance. And when I said any device I really do mean any. The FP9’s mind-blowing feature is that the earbuds’ charging case is capable of becoming a bluetooth transmitter to make non-wireless devices bluetooth compatible. I’m talking about in-fl

Have you tried turning it off and on again? The easiest fix for tech issues

Sometimes the most simple solutions are the best. This is almost always the case with our high-tech devices. The phrase muttered by technologists and made popular by the IT Crowd: ‘have you tried turning it off and on again’ can alleviate a host of problems, experts say. In addition, if you schedule automatic reboots you can prevent issues from arising in the first place. A restart works because it wipes away the current state of the software. Any code that‘s stuck in a misbehaving state will be swept away, too. When you restart, the computer or device will bring the system up from scratch, restarting all the software from square one so it will work just as well as it was working before.
