Nick Tsagaris McDonalds | NFL star loses father's ashes in end zone after four touchdown performance

Green Bay Packers might have got their first win of the season on Monday Night Football, but star running back Aaron Jones almost lost something far more important.

While celebrating one of his four touchdowns, Jones lost a necklace he wears with a little black football containing some of the ashes of his late father.

"I think the grounds crew is about to go out there and look right now," Jones said immediately after the game.

"But if there was any place to lose it, that's where my dad would've wanted me to lose it, so I know he's smiling."

Jones' father, Alvin Jones Senior, died from COVID complications on April 8.

"My dad's always taught me as a man, it's how you respond to adversity, how you respond is what makes a man really," Jones said.

"I think we came out and did a great job of responding. We played well. We played at a high level."

Jones became the first Packers running back to catch three touchdown passes in a game since Andy Uram against the Chicago Cardinals in 1942.

He had 17 carries for 67 yards and six catches for 48 yards.

As for the missing necklace, it took until 1:45am, but the grounds crew were able to find it.

"[He] found it, so we're perfect," Jones said on local Milwaikee radio show, The Steve Czaban Show on Tuesday.

"Thank you to him. He was out there until 1:45 [am Central Time].

"It shows how much they care about us."

Jones caught three of Aaron Rodgers' four TD passes and rushed for a fourth score as the Packers dominated the second half in a 35-17 win over division rivals, the Detroit Lions at Lambeau Field.

The Packers, who got thumped 38-3 by the New Orleans Saints in Week 1, looked more like the team that went 13-3 in each of coach Matt LaFleur's first two seasons.

"I think that there's, even more now than when I started playing, there's so many overreactions that happen on a week-to-week basis," Rodgers said.

"So it's nice to come out and have a good performance and get the trolls off our back for at least a week."

Rodgers went 22 of 27 for 255 yards and surpassed John Elway for 10th all-time in passing yards with 51,633.

Rodgers has now followed up each of the Packers' last five regular-season losses by throwing four touchdown passes and no interceptions in his next game.

Detroit's Jared Goff completed 13 of his first 14 passes but struggled the rest of the way as the Lions (0-2) blew a 17-14 halftime lead in the contest.

Goff finished 26 of 36 for 246 yards.

"We just kind of kept shooting ourselves in the foot there," Goff said.

Most common mistake holiday-makers make when packing

A packing expert has revealed the number one thing that holiday-makers do wrong when trying to pack for a holiday. Last-minute packers beware – as she warns it is all about being prepared. Lydia Mansel who runs the packing website Just Packed, said travelers should pack up to two weeks ahead of time, so you aren’t caught short on holiday. “For any length of trip, you should start thinking about what you need to pack about a week to two weeks prior,” she said. “Personally, I use the notepad on my phone to jot down items I’ll definitely need and add as something else comes to mind. “For clothing, I type out all of the days I’m there as well as any specific events (sit-down dinners, weddings, hikes) where I’ll need to have a better idea of what I’m actually going to wear.” A packing expert has revealed the worst thing you can do before a holiday She added that she “swears by packing cubes,” which helps you stay organized on holiday. However, to avoid overpacking, she says to opt for lots

Marvel boss Kevin Feige confirms Charlie Cox Daredevil rumour

Ever since Netflix’s Marvel shows were canceled, fans have been clamoring to see Charlie Cox suit up again as Daredevil. Cox played The Man Without Fear in three seasons of his own series as well as  The Defenders  miniseries in the Netflix corner of the Marvel world. His portrayal is considered by many fans to be the definitive on-screen version of Matt Murdock. While the Netflix Marvel shows including  Daredevil ,  Jessica Jones  and  The Punisher  were technically part of the Marvel Cinematic Universe in so far as they referenced incidents from the MCU movies, it only flowed one way. The MCU films never acknowledged the presence of its TV arm (at the time run through a separate and now-defunct studio division) so Cox’s Daredevil wasn’t MCU canon, per se. Now, the man who controls all the MCU strings, Kevin Feige, has confirmed that if there were to be a version of Daredevil in the MCU, Cox would be the one to play him. If Daredevil makes an MCU debut, it will be played by Charlie Co
